The link between your blood type and your daily diet is
extremely important. What you eat plays a critical role in achieving and
maintaining health. Food that we ingest represents the nutritional building
blocks to our body. To be carried from the small intestine, absorbed
nutrients should be compatible with the blood structure.
Studies in Germany and Japan have shown that each blood type
requires a different diet hence your blood type dictates your nutritional
requirements. One blood type may require more emphasis on protein while
another may require a vegetarian diet. Diet requirements differ from your
habitual daily cravings which are developed by habit only and not
necessarily by nutritional requirements.
It is not how much you eat that dictates whether you are
going to become a healthy person or not. Rather, it is the type of food you
eat that would make the difference between health and disease.
Upon completion of your initial examination, a personalized
life style diet is designed for you. The diet will be based on your initial
physical examination, diagnosis, blood type, anxiety, stress and the state
of your present health.
Diet forms the back bone of every patient's treatment. It is
the source of life to the metabolic reactions of the cells. These metabolic
reactions translate into good health when the source of our diet is from a
healthy source. The human body, just like every other living cell on earth,
is designed to extract its nutrients from food provided daily. The body
takes the tiny molecules of nutrients extracted from food. Once extracted,
the blood stream transports the nutrients to target cells where they are
re-arranged or converted into useful units. The body utilizes nutrients to
manufacture larger molecules of digestive enzymes, metabolic enzymes,
hormones, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, muscle relaxant etc.
The greater percentage of people who develop some type of
sickness are those who are not extracting enough nutrients from their diet.
Therefore, the intensity of their sickness is inversely proportional to the
amount of nutrients available and absorbed from their meals. The major cause
that weakens people's body and consequently leads them into a doctor's
office is poor nutrition. This applies to all patients whether they attend
medical or naturopathic clinics. Poor nutrition is common among most people
in North America.
Throughout the course of your treatment, you will be at
liberty to eat any portions of food you feel comfortable with from those
food items indicated on your personal menu plan.
It is not how much you eat that dictates whether you are
going to become a healthy person or not. Rather, it is the type of food you
eat that would make the difference between health and disease.
No calories will be calculated and no portions will be
trimmed from your meals. Despite the amount of food you are eating, your
body will adjust its weight and its total amount of fat to your height,
lifestyle and age. This will depend greatly on your determination to get
healthy, your loyalty to your body and your inner strength against your food
cravings. You need to learn to turn away from food not listed in your
program on your menu plan. You need to learn to say “NO” to improper food
without feeling guilty about it, no matter how appealing it looks. A friend
or a family member who invites you to a meal, should Prepare food that you
like, can eat and is nutritionally beneficial. After all, no one will suffer
but you when the ill effect of improper food reaches your intestine. Many
patients ask me to advise them on what to do when invited to a party where
they have no control over meals served. I advise them to do what I do
myself. When invited to a party, one thing I do not do is to announce that I
only eat food compatible with my blood type. Invariably, a person will
spring from the middle of the crowd, holding a plate stacked with food, who
will attempt to give free advice acting as your doctor. The person will
attempt to sway your mind from eating food compatible with your health. “I
eat every thing I like, and have never been to the doctor's office once in
my life” the person may advise. Some people measure the quality of their
health with the quantity of visits to the doctor's office. I ask those
people whether the same will apply to a new car taken to the dealer's
service department for a six month check up.
Cheating on your diet will fool no one but yourself. It is
you who is going to pay the consequences of ill effect and will be set back
from your goal of regaining good health. Cheating on your diet will also
disrupt and prolong the healing crisis.
